SPIREITES Chief Executive Chris Turner has told Premier League clubs to keep away from 20-year-old leading scorer Jordan Bowery.

A growing number of clubs are showing an interest in the striker, son of Bert Bowery who was Brian Clough’s first ever signing for Nottingham Forest. Quick, strong and tricky, Bowery has taken his chance this season and has had scouts watching regularly.

Turner said: “Jordan is a Chesterfield player and still has two years of his contract to run. It is not surprising that he is starting to catch the eye as he is a talented player, which is the reason why the club rewarded his exciting development with a three year deal only last year.”
