Chesterfield: Spireites cling to play-off hope.

Paul Cook will be hoping Jack Lester shakes off his back injury as Chesterfield head for a first visit to Fleetwood Town’s Highbury.

The Spireites side need to win tomorrow and beat Exeter at home next week and hope Bradford City get no more than two points from their last two if the play-offs are to be reached. Fleetwood could also do it but need lots of results to drop their way.

Following the frustration of Tuesday’s home defeat against Plymouth, Cook will have demanded a solid show in training and subs Alex Henshall, Armand Gnanduillet and Sam Hird will all be hoping for a chance after they helped to improve what had been a dire performance. Danny Whitaker should also be in the frame after missing the Argyle game due to family reasons.

Fleetwood lost 2-1 at the New York Stadium last week, a fourth straight defeat.
