Sean Dyche, Spireites’ skipper during their 1997 run to the FA Cup semi-final, brings his Burnley side to the Proact this afternoon (3pm).
The Clarets will be without striker Jason Gilchrist who broke his ankle in Wednesday’s 3-0 win at St Mirren whilst, since then, defenders Jason Shackell (Derby) and Luke Conlon (St Mirren) have moved on.
Dean Saunders is expected to field a side similar to that which featured in the midweek defeat against Hull City though the likes of Armand Gnanduillet and Gboly Ariyibi will be hoping for a start.
Despite interest hotting up, in demand pair of full back Tendayi Darikwa and attacking midfielder Sam Clucas are both expected to feature.
The two sides have never met in a friendly before and this will be the first meeting of any type since Burnley beat Chesterfield on penalties in the League Cup in 2003.
