Chesterfield host Phil Parkinson’s Bradford City tomorrow desperate to get back to winning ways.

The Proact Stadium side have lost their last five league games and haveregistered just two home wins all season.

They will be without the suspended Sam Morsy, while Ollie Banks and Lee Novak have to shake off knocks picked up in the FA Cup penalty shoot-out defeat at Walsall.

Mark Smith has been in caretaker charge since the sacking of Dean Saunders

The goalless 120 minutes showed the Spireites defence in a good light and Ian Evatt was instrumental in that performance.

“There are a lot of positives to take from Walsall. It was a good performance, not forgetting that we had played 90 minutes on a very heavy pitch on Saturday, while they hadn’t played. Now we are more solid, we can start looking at the attacking side of the game and scoring more goals again.”

Chris Wilder and Mark Cooper remain the bookies’ top two tips to take over permanently as manager.
