Chesterfield: Cook to keep same recipe

Have your say

SPIREITES boss Paul Cook has indicated there’ll be no new faces in the squad for tomorrow’s match at Wycombe Wanderers.

However he has revealed that he has made another three players available for transfer. Defender Terrell Forbes, striker Scott Boden and midfielder Jack Waddle being the unwanted trio.

Forbes has been absent from the squad for the last two games after a spat with the manager whilst Boden remained on the bench for two games which saw Chesterfield take to the field with no recognised strikers. Waddle has yet to make the bench in his first year as a pro.

Of the four loan players whose time is coming to an end, he’s said he doesn’t expect to keep them all but admits he is trying to tie up Hull City centre back Liam Cooper, who’s impressed in his spell at the Proact Stadium.

Cook has no fresh injuries from the New Years’ Day defeat at Accrington Stanley although he could revert to his preferred lone striker after partnering Jack Lester and Marc Richards at the Crown Ground.

Conor Townsend sits out the game through suspension.
