Paul Cook will have some positive selection headaches ahead of Friday night’s cup trip to MK Dons.

Sam Morsy is available again after suspension, Jimmy Ryan looks likely to return to fitness and Drew Talbot will have got a few more days training under his belt after his long standing stomach and groin injury that’s seen him play just once since February.

Add to that two sub appearances from Dan Jones after his three game ban that’s seen him shake off the rust from his enforced lay-off and Cook will have, for the first time this season, a full squad to choose from.

Armand Gnanduillet, who scored the ‘winner’ in the previous version of this game, ordered to be replayed due to a paperwork error regarding then on-loan Georg Margreitter’s eligibility, has picked up a few bumps and bruises of late, but is expected to be available for selection.

The manager could consider resting some of his more senior men who’ve given him excellent service over the Christmas fixtures.
