CHESTERFIELD started their two loan signings tonight, in the League Two battle with Aldershot, but couldn’t find the winning formula.
Alex Henshall and Jordan Clark came off the bench on Saturday and did enough to get the nod from manager Paul Cook.
Cook made a change on 27 minutes when Richard Brindley went off for Danny Whitaker to come on.
And there was a booking for Neal Trotman, eight minutes later - but not much goalmouth action.
In truth, the Spireites looked a tad lethargic and Aldershot could have been up at half time.
Cook tried to pep things up after the break, with Jack Lester coming on for Henshall.
It seemed to do the trick with Marc Richards and Whitaker almost netting.
Neal Trotman and Clark were also in with a shout of breaking the deadlock.
And Lester almost did what he does best, but sent the ball into the side-netting.
Then Shots midfielder Peter Vincenti put the wind up the home crowd with an effort.
Richards was defied by Young with a minute left...and with that, mid-table Chesterfield’s chances of three points had gone.
