Chesterfield FC unveil three year agreement with Premier Pitches Ltd

Premier Pitches managing director Carl Pass said: “Having initially been asked to help with the growing in of the pitch this summer and achieving superb results, we were invited to tender for the pitch maintenance works, and it now gives us great pleasure to be working with a club that is at the heart of our community.

Commenting on the appointment, Spireites chief executive Chris Turner said: “Premier Pitches are a locally-based company with an excellent reputation, with clients both in the UK and Europe, including Wembley Stadium.

“In bringing in an external company, we are already gaining an advantage with the introduction of all the latest industry technology and equipment that we hope will produce a playing surface which is second to none.

“Premier Pitches have been brought in following the departure of head groundsman, Antony Haywood over the summer. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Antony for his loyal service over many years and wish him all the very best for the future.”
