Chesterfield FC season tickets frozen again

Two new season ticket categories have also been introduced, catering for 17 to 20-year-olds and those aged 80 and over.

Young adults aged 17 to 20 are eligible for season tickets costing from just £9.13 per game while any supporter aged 80 and over is eligible for a complimentary season ticket.

Commenting on the decision to keep season tickets at the same price, Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner said: “We want to reward fans who show their support by attending all our home fixtures.

“In order to progress as a football club, we need as many fans as possible to come to games at the Proact Stadium so we have kept the prices at what we feel is an affordable level.

“As usual, there are discounts for those who buy their season tickets early and there is a finance option to help with budgeting. We have also introduced the two new categories after listening to ideas put forward by supporters.”

Adult season tickets start from just £15 per game while season tickets for those aged 16 and under cost from just £2.39p per game.

To make paying for a season ticket that much easier, the cost of a season ticket can be spread over a ten-month period by purchasing through Zebra Finance.

Reduced ‘Early Bird’ season tickets will be on sale from March 7 until April 29.

The 2016/17 season will also see the introduction of ‘Priority Points’, which aims to give ticket priority to loyal fans for some of the bigger games the club plays in or for those games where tickets are in short supply.

The new points totals awarded will be as follows:

Season ticket purchase, 2016/17: 1,000

Season ticket purchase from a renewal of 2015/16: 500 (NOTE: 1,500 points awarded in total if 16/17 season ticket is renewed from 15/16)

Membership card purchase 2016/17: 300

Membership card renewal of 2015/16: 150 (NOTE: 450 points awarded in total if 16/17 membership card is renewed from 15/16)

Away league match purchases 2016/17: 10

Home league match purchases 2016/17: 10

Away cup match purchases 2016/17: 20

Home cup match purchases 2016/17: 20

• Any points gained from a purchase of a ticket will be added to your customer number account three days after the game has taken place.

• Points ARE NOT awarded for tickets purchased at an away club’s turnstiles or ticket office, nor will they be awarded retrospectively for this type of purchase.
