Danny Wilson wants his Chesterfield side to finish the campaign on a high and improve their wretched home form.

The Spireites have won just four times at home all season.

Despite being five points clear of the League One relegation places, Wilson’s side face a make-or-break Easter weekend.

They welcome fellow strugglers Fleetwood to the Proact on Saturday before travelling to Oldham 48 hours later.

Ahead of the double-header, Wilson has asked for an improvement from his troops in front of their own supporters.

Wilson said: “We’ve been poor at home.

“Four wins at home all season is not good enough.

“We’ve had some great away performances and victories.

“But home form has been poor so that needs rectifying as quickly as possible.

“If we can get three or four home wins between now and the end of the season, that would hopefully be enough.”

In terms of team news, skipper Ian Evatt (Achilles) is out for the season while Wilson hopes that Ollie Banks will be fit enough to be involved after being on the end of a clattering challenge last time out at Scunthorpe.

Wilson added: “Ollie Banks took a very heavy knock at Scunthorpe.

“We felt at the time it should have been a sending-off.

“He’s missed a few days training but we’re hoping he’ll be okay for the weekend but we’ll just give it time.”
