Smith is joined by John Terry as his assistant, while his number two at the Bees Thomas Frank will step in as interim manager at Griffin Park.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has revealed he has received offers from “many parties” for the club, but said he remains committed to his plan for the club.

Bolton are hoping to win the race to sign Bohemians winger Daniel Kelly – Dundalk, Cork City and Shamrock Rovers are also said to be interested.

The Trotters signed free agent and former Stoke man Stephen Ireland during the international break.

Hull City reportedly have three parties interested in buying the club with former chairman Paul Duffen a front runner.

Sheffield United and Scottish side Rangers are reportedly ready to do battle for Livingston defender Craig Halkett, who is out of contract next summer. Halkett was release by Rangers in 2016.
