Bull to move up a weight

DONCASTER boxer Stefy Bull has had second thoughts about quitting the sport and will be back in the ring on Frank Maloney's televised promotion at The Dome on October 19.

The 30 year-old was stopped in three rounds by the unbeaten Amir Khan in Cardiff in April. That disappointing showing followed his failure to beat Scott Lawton in their English lightweight title clash at The Dome ten months earlier.

Citing a lack of motivation and continuing struggles to make the weight at lightweight, Bull had intimated that he would hang up his gloves after the Khan fight.

But he has decided that he does not want to end his career on such a low note, and he is now looking to make his mark in the light-welterweight division and has his sights set on winning a Central Area title at a third different weight.

He is the current lightweight champion and previously held the featherweight version.

Joining Bull on the Dome bill will be stablemate, rookie heavyweight Dean O’Loughlin.
