JACK Richardson (21-8) and Eric Wright (21-9) shone for Thorpe Marsh Bentley in their 147-130 Doncaster Bowls Association Over-60s League Division One win over Askern.

John Bedford (21-4) and Barry Bentley (21-8) starred for Armthorpe in their 150-120 win over Tickhill.

Eric Wright (21-4) got Thorpe Marsh Bentley off to a flying start, but Askern rallied to clinch a 143-136 victory with Alwin Davies (21-9) winning the match.

League leaders Roundwood crashed to defeat with Vic Buckley (21-5) starring for Brodsworth in their 162-124 win.

Jim Horobin (21-8), Barbara O'Brien (21-7), Terry O'Brien (21-5) and Alan Martin (21-9) all put in good wins for Mexborough in their 148-93 victory over Rossington.

John Baldwin (21-7) was the best of Adwick's eight winners in their 168-112 Division Two win over Hexthorpe.

Bawtry's eight winners in their 168-81 success against Brodsworth B Included John Makepeace (21-9), Graham Mills (21-8) and Margaret Smith (21-3).

Ron Strutt (21-7), Ken Strutt (21-8), Doug Baxter (21-1) and Bert Moody (21-9) all showed up well for Bentley Colliery, while team-mate Dennis Lowe gained his first league win (21-15) in their 156-99 victory over Adwick B.

Jack Chantry (21-5) and Mick Poppleton (21-7) both performed well for Eden Grove-Peglers in their 158-113 win over Pilks.

Terry Brelsford (21-7) and Bob Sisman and Bob Knibbs (both 21-6) all did well for league leaders Westfield Park B in their 156-114 win over Elmfield Park.

Last man John Burton secured Carcroft a 148-138 Division Three win over Thorne with his 21-7 victory.

Ken Welford caught the eye with a 21-6 win in Carcroft’s 165-107 victory over Eden Grove Peglers B.

Peter Devine's 21-5 win for Rossington B was soon cancelled out by Yorkshire Main B’s John Richards (21-3) and Colin Frost (21-8) in the visitors’ 144-95 victory.

Bawtry B’s last two players, Alma Beresford (21-7) and Derek Spence (21-9), failed to prevent the visitors suffering a140-132 defeat at Scawthorpe.

Cec Fowler won 21-8 for Thorne, who also had a hat-trick of 21-4 winners - Brenda Staniforth, Rose Hawker and Brian Turner in their 154-92 victory over Parklands.
