BREAKING: Millers loanee Luke Hyam recalled by Ipswich

Luke Hyam has been recalled from his loan spell at Rotherham United by his parent club, Ipswich Town.

The midfielder played five times for the Millers after joining in November, featuring in victories over Bristol City and Hull City.

"Mick McCarthy (Ipswich manager) has injuries and it is coming into a time when he needs his players back,” Millers boss Neil Redfearn said.

"There is a recall clause available to Ipswich so we have to respect their option to bring Luke back.

"I would like to thank Mick McCarthy and Ipswich Town for allowing us to take Luke here. I would also like to thank Luke for his service to us; he did a great job for the club during the time he was here.

"I thought he was outstanding in the victory over Hull City last Saturday and we wish him all the best for the future."
