Boss praises strike duo

ROTHERHAM United will bid to build on an encouraging show by front men Chris O'Grady and Derek Holmes in the 1-1 draw at Macclesfield.

O'Grady set up strike partner Holmes for the Millers' goal.

Manager Mark Robins said: "I'm still trying out my best partnership up front and I was pleased that we finally got the right movement for our goal."

The Millers boss was unhappy with the referee and the result.

He said: "The referee was poor. He got the free kick wrong which led to their goal.

"(Martin) Gritton was all elbows and he left our man black and blue. He shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

"Our fans are disappointed that we've not won, we need to get a win to lift the club."

Rotherham next turn their attention to the Millmoor clash with bottom club Mansfield on Saturday.

The Reserves drew 2-2 away with Lincoln in a Pontins League Cup group match last night.
