Booth and Garbutt help keep Armthorpe top

Simon Hallas won 21-5 for Armthorpe B, but Eva Stokes won 21-9 to help give Mexborough a 179-160 success.

Shawn Laycock (21-7) was unable to save bottom club Brodsworth from a 192-169 defeat at Armthorpe B.

Mick O'Sullivan won 21-1 for Yorkshire Main, but Armthorpe completed the season undefeated with a 171-162 victory thanks to Melvin Axe (21-7) and Keith Ryde (21-8).

Tommy Collings (21-7) and Mick Wainwright (21-8) featured for Askern in their 193-143 Section A win over Carcroft, whose best win came from Ryan Lysons (21-7).

Malcolm Needham (21-6) featured for Rossington in their 191-172 win over Woodlands Park.

Bawtry had good wins from Hazel Cuthbert (21-3) and Alan Marrison and Barry Binks (both 21-8) to beat Askern 187-147.

Glen Jacques (21-5) helped bottom-of-the-table Eden Grove-Peglers lead at the halfway stage, but Lol Atkinson (21-7), John Burton (21-5) and Phil Stones (21-9) secured Carcroft a 176-148 victory.

Alan Wright (21-6) was Rossington's best winner in their 196-152 victory over Roundwood B.

Alan Wilby (21-7) and Jonathan Sneddon (21-6) led Tickhill to a 199-135 victory over Wickersley.

Denaby started and finished their Section B match against Roundwood C, which they won 206-146, with 21-6 wins from Paul Lawrence and Chris Pattison.

Brian Winterburn (21-9), Jim Wynne (21-9) and Bernard Gould (21-6) laid the foundations for Elmfield Park's 170-149 win with John Lees replying 21-5 for Thorne.

Maltby pipped Adwick 181-169.

Derek Aldred (21-8), Rob McGuire (21-5) and Eamon Costello (21-6) showed up well for Parklands in their 202-156 win over Brodsworth B.

Westfield Park B's three winners all did well - Frank Potts (21-8), Chris Rout (21-4) and Keith Wright (21-8) - but the league leaders were beaten as Nora Dyson (21-6) and Kath Cresswell (21-9) excelled for Mexborough B in their 167-142 Section C win.

Norman Clowes won 21-9 for Pensioners but it was not a happy day for his teammates as Merle Fearn (21-3), Kath Cresswell (21-7), Bill Browne (21-8) and Malcolm Farmery (21-6) all had good wins for Mexborough B in their 190-116 victory.

Len Watson (21-9) could not save Westfield Park B from a 162-148 home defeat against Eden Grove-Pegler B.

Alma Beresford's 21-3 win came too late for Bawtry B after Royce Dunhill (21-8), Keith Raven (21-7) and George Asquith (21-9) had won well for Adwick B in their 182-141 verdict.

Gary Potter (21-4) and Keith Smith (21-7) caught the eye for Armthorpe C in their 183-148 while Rossington B had to wait for last man Ray Greaves (21-8) for their best win.

Eden Grove-Peglers B rolled a 180-165 win over Mexborough B.

Last man Norman Clowes (21-7) just failed save Pilks Pensioners from a 175-169 defeat at Westfeld Park B.

Cliff Smith (21-3), John Richards (21-5) and Bob Jackson (21-4) all won easily for Yorkshire Main B in their 198-136 victory over Parklands B.
