The Tykes secured a 3-1 win with Thomas bagging the third goal to make sure Gerhard Struber’s men set up a fourth round tie away at Portsmouth.

“That’s why the FA Cup is so good because, hopefully, we can get a big fish in the next round and who knows what could happen.”
The former Derby County man, who turns 21 next month, doubled his tally for the season with the Reds’ third goal.

“They all count and I needed that!” Thomas added.

“I saw Kenny (Dougall) on the edge of the box and he knew he was going to clear it, so I got my head down and ran.
“It definitely wasn’t going in and I had to make sure.
“I’ve had some chances to score and the longer it takes to get a goal, the longer it plays on your mind. I’m glad that’s out of the way now.”
The Reds host Huddersfield on Saturday in a tasty-looking Yorkshire derby.
