Sheffield United have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven matches and bookies expect them to concede at home to Tranmere.

It’s odds-on from Partybets at 8/11 for both teams to score at Bramall Lane, where a match tally of three or more goals is a slightly heftier 4/5 courtesy of Stan James.

The first of the contest is 5/1 with Betfred to be struck by Will Hoskins, who has started the last couple of games for the Blades – opening the scoring at Colchester in midweek - and the on-loan attacker is 7/5 (bet365) to grab one at any stage.

Top scorer Ched Evans, however, is the man bookies most fear in terms of breaking the deadlock. The Welsh frontman, who bagged a brace at Brentford a week ago, is just 7/2 via Paddy Power to notch first while Coral quote Evans at 10/11 to get on the scoresheet at any time.

Last Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday had scored three times by the time ten minutes had elapsed and supporters expecting them to be out of the blocks quickly at Notts County can either tackle BetVictor’s 12/5 for the Owls to find the net inside 27 minutes or Ladbrokes’ 11/10 for Dave Jones’ men to register in the first half.

At 11/2 with Skybet to put them 1-0 up, Gary Madine is considered Wednesday’s main goal threat.

Michail Antonio is 10/1 (Blue Square) to open the scoring.

In the Championship, Craig Davies is 8/1 via BetVictor for Barnsley’s first at home to Reading. At the Keepmoat, Boylesports rate a Donny opener from Frederic Piquionne at 5/1 against Derby.

Chesterfield’s Jordan Bowery is 14/1 to net first against MK Dons whilst Millers’ Lewis Grabban is a 7/1 shot at William Hill for the first at Oxford.
