BARNSLEY defender Paul McShane has challenged the club to finish the season strongly and secure a top-half finish in the Championship for the first time in five seasons.
The Hull City loan centre-back has been a big hit at Oakwell since he joined the club on loan from the Tigers until the end of the season.
And the Republic of Ireland international has called for the Reds to adopt a “winning mentality” to challenge for the elusive top half finish.
“We’ve certainly got a good enough squad,” McShane told The Star. “I’d like to think I’ve brought something different to the team. That’s my style of football and I’ll give everything towards the cause.
“We’ve got eight games to go and if we go on a winning run you never know where we might finish.”
