Lewin Nyatanga has had one of his most frustrating seasons as a footballer.
But the experienced Barnsley defender is happy to be back in the frame when the club needs him the most.
Injury has blighted Nyatanga’s hopes of playing as many games as he’d have liked this season.
And the 25-year-old has also found himself down the pecking order with club captain Martin Cranie and Crystal Palace loan recruit Peter Ramage having been the first-choice central defensive partnership for much of this season.
However, Cranie and Ramage are out injured and Nyatanga finally has his chance to shine.
“It’s good to be back playing to be honest,” admitted Nyatanga. “I just want to keep playing until the end of the season.”
