BARNSLEY goalkeeper Luke Steele believes Reds skipper Jacob Butterfield is relishing the responsibility of being the club’s youngest ever captain.

Midfielder Butterfield, aged 21, has scored three goals this season and been a key performer in the Oakwell outfit’s impressive seven-game unbeaten run.

“You can see how important being captain is to him, so hopefully he’s going to keep grasping this chance and keep improving and developing,” Steele said

“If he acts the right way, conducts himself on and off the pitch in the right way, then other people copy him.”
