OAKWELL fans suffered an early blow this evening, but their team bounced back to claim a draw.

Barnsley went behind to Burnley after just five minutes, hot striker Charlie Austin scoring past Luke Steele.

He had been the form player on 20 goals - so giving him a free header, from Ross Wallace’s feed - was not the best idea.

The Lancashire lads were seeing plenty of the ball.

Marcus Tudgay didn’t allow the visitors to lord it over his side for long though.

He levelled on 37 minutes with another headed goal from inside the penalty area.

Scott Golbourne had been the playmaker.

Tudgay had a sniff at another after the interval.

His header from Jacob Mellis’ cross Marcus Tudgay from deep inside the penalty area flashed left of the target.

At the other end, Martin Paterson had an effort stopped by Steele.

But the closest chance to break the deadlock fell to 20 year old Burnley striker, Danny Ings whose effort from outside the area struck the post.

With 20 minutes left, a super long range effort from Craig Davies went just wide.
