BARNSLEY boss Mark Robins hailed the successful return of left-back Jay McEveley at Derby.
The Reds drew 0-0 at Derby and are now without a win in six, but McEveley returned to the line-up for the first time since October following a knee operation, and performed well.
Robins said: “Seeing Jay back was a massive plus . He helped us secure a clean sheet as Derby didn’t cause us too many problems.
“Jay’s rehabilitation has been good, he’s put the work in, but it’s credit to both Jay and our physio for the way he’s been able to get back in shape. He was bright and clever he sat in some good positions and defended well.”
