Martin Woods has an affinity with South Yorkshire – and he’s delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue playing his football in the region with Barnsley.
The experienced midfielder played over 100 games for Doncaster Rovers in a successful six and a half year spell at the Keepmoat Stadium.
And the 28-year-old Scot, a product of the Leeds United youth system, also had a season-long spell with Rotherham United.
He said: “I’ve always felt settled in Yorkshire. I’ve loved playing my football here.
“I’ve had some great times and it’s great to have been given the chance to now play for Barnsley.
“I’m really happy, it’s a good club.”
