Doncaster Rovers will reflect on two points dropped in their South Yorkshire derby with Barnsley which ended 1-1 at Oakwell.
Lewin Nyatanga fired Barnsley into an early lead but an equally early strike from Theo Robinson in the second half levelled for the visitors.
Rovers had dominated from the point they fell behind but they only had Robinson’s second in three games to show for it.
Nyatanga headed home after just five minutes, taking advantage of some poor Rovers defending after a corner by Conor Hourihane.
After pushing for most of the first half, but unable to beat the impressive Ross Turnbull, Paul Dickov’s men finally broke through on 52 minutes when Robinson struck.
Leroy Lita is back in the starting line up for Barnsley as one of three changes for the home side.
The experienced striker replaced the injured Sam Winnall while Reece Brown came in for Martin Cranie. In a late change, Mason Holgate came in for Joe Dudgeon.
For Doncaster, Paul Dickov makes one change with Theo Robinson replacing Nathan Tyson.
In an open game, Doncaster had pressed straight away for an equaliser - Ross Turnbull saving from Kyle Bennett - however, it was Lita who would come closest to scoring next as he latched onto a pass from Hourihane, but Sam Johnstone was equal to the striker’s half volley.
The visitors then took the initiative and Robinson had Turnbull on his toes twice in the matter of a minute. The forward’s low cross was knocked away by the keeper on 36 minutes and then Turnbull made another fine save soon after following a well struck shot.
Turnbull continued to keep his side in front when a minute later the keeper denied Kyle Bennett what would have been a superb goal.
Rovers picked up where they left off after the interval and having been teed up by James Coppinger, Robinson struck from 12 yards out.
Dickov’s men had the better of the remainder of the game with Curtis Main, Kyle Bennett, Paul Keegan and Robinson all having efforts on goal.
However, against the run of play, Nyatanga almost stole it for Barnsley with two minutes remaining but headed just wide.
