DEFENDER Matt Hill is expected to sign for Barnsley today on a permanent contract until the end of the season.
The Wolves left-back played his last loan game for the Reds on Saturday, but Oakwell boss Mark Robins was keen to sign the 29-year-old as cover for the injured Jay McEveley and Luke Potter, with the club's other recognised left-backs both out injured.
Hill was expected to have had his contract with Wolves cancelled yesterday, with his deal at Molineux due to expire at the end of the season.
And the Reds didn't waste any time in strengthening for the second time in a week, with Bristol City striker/winger Danny Haynes having signed for the club.
Hill should be available for tonight's derby at Doncaster Rovers.
