REUBEN Noble-Lazarus is expected to sign a new two-year contract with Barnsley in the next week.

The 19-year-old forward is the only player to be offered a new contract by the club at the current time with the uncertainty of its Championship status for next season.

The Star understands Noble-Lazarus is getting a deal because the club are keen to make sure their young players are tied to the club, especially having recently sold promising talent John Stones to Everton in a £3million deal on transfer deadline day.
