Chelsea striker Alex Kiwomya has signed a one-month loan extension at Barnsley.
Teenage talent Kiwomya joined the Reds on an initial one-month loan spell last month and has agreed to stay at Oakwell until 3rd March.
The move comes just over 12 hours after the transfer window shut and the Reds failed to land striker Tom Pope from Port Vale.
The 18-year-old has played three games for the Reds so far but has yet to score his first goal for the club.
But the former Rotherham United youngster is keen to get some much-needed experience of playing first team football.
“I’m young and I want to express myself and show what I can do,” said Kiwomya, who has been capped by England at Under-16 and Under-19 level.
