Danny Wilson likes his teams to play football and try and produce a performance but he’ll be happy to make an exception at Oakwell tomorrow.

“If it’s cr*p and we’ve won 1-0, then I’ll be delighted and a lot of other people will be as well,” chuckled the Barnsley boss.

He cut a relaxed figure ahead of his side’s important clash with fellow relegation rivals Millwall but his demeanour can’t hide the determination within the Oakwell camp.

It’s not quite all or nothing but they know the value of a win and the immense difficulties a defeat would bring together with what would then be an eight point gap to the Londoners who arecurently fourth bottom.

“Yes, people outside will say we’re right in the mix or out of it depending on the result but we shall be fighting every inch of the way to get three points from this match and the 15 that remain after it,” said Wilson.

He says he will leave it until the morning of the game before deciding on the fitness of two or three players.

One of them is Chris O’Grady who has a rib injury... “hopefully he’ll be ok but we’ll wait until Saturday morning,” said Wilson.

He will check also on his right backs Ryan McLaughlin and Jack Hunt, the former suffering some hamstring tightness at Wigan on Tuesday and the latter who didn’t figure.

Tom Kennedy switched across to play the second half at right back and Wilson was pleased with how he adapted.
