BARNSLEY midfielder David Perkins has signed a new one-year deal with the Championship club, writes Neil Goulding.
Perkins, aged 30, signed for the Reds at the start of last season on a two-year deal and has now committed his future to the club until 2014.
“David has extended his deal with the club until 2014,” Reds director Don Rowing told The Star.
Perkins started his career with Morecambe before spells with Rochdale, under the management of Hill, as well as Colchester United and then loan spells a Chesterfield United and Stockport County.
Former academy scholars John Stones and Paul Digby have both signed contracts to the club until 2015.
