BARNSLEY have been rocked by an injury which will sideline Jim O’Brien for three months.
Former Motherwell and Celtic winger O’Brien dislocated his left shoulder in last Saturday’s Capital One Cup first round victory. O’Brien is due to have his shoulder pinned and now faces a lengthy absence before a return to duty.
“Jim has seen a consultant and we’re led to believe he’s going to be at least a 12 week period that he’s out for,” revealed Reds boss Keith Hill. It’s a massive loss for the club and me as a manager. It’s a shame, but it’s something we’ve got to deal with.”
