Victory in the Reds’ last-day clash with Derby County on Sunday will assure their Championship survival.

Anything but all three points will leave Morais’ men relying on other results going their way.

Morais was tasked with keeping the club in the second tier after Paul Heckingbottom’s departure in January.

There have been just three wins in the 14 games since Jose Mourinho’s former number two took over at Oakwell.

“I don’t know if I’ll be around next year,” admitted Morais. “My focus is on the game and not my future.

“We have a lot of expectations from the game. The biggest expectation is the one that makes me smile and that’s achieving our goals.

“I believe that we can do it. I believe my players also have the same belief.

“I know everything I need to know about them (Derby) but my focus isn’t on them, it’s on us.

“I want to focus on our potential to achieve what we want.

“My wish is that the players come out like they did in the last game and we achieve our goals.

“All I want for the players is success. I saw them succeed in the last game.”

Morais admits he could make a couple of changes to the side who took their relegation battle to the final day by beating 2-0 Brentford last week.

He said: “There are always highs and lows in life and if you know what you want then you know you can go from a low to a high in a following moment.

“My reading on Derby County is they are a good opponent and it’s an away game. We are also a good team. We have good players and we have a strong belief in what we can do.”
