Reds have signed midfielder Josh Scowen on a two and a half year deal from Wycombe Wanderers.
And the 21-year-old, who joined the club for an undisclosed fee, could make his Reds’ debut in this afternoon’s South Yorkshire derby clash with Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.
“I was a bit scared to be honest when I heard Barnsley were interested in me because I’ve been at Wycombe for a long time,” revealed Scowen. “It’s my first transfer to a new club, but now it’s [the deal] has all be done I’m quite excited.”
Reds youngster Brad Abbott has joined Chester on an initial one-month loan deal.
