Away ties for all our local teams after Cup draw

Have your say

Manchester United were last out of the hat as they entered the second round draw of the Capital One Cup for the first time in 19 years - and will travel to MK Dons.

United have not been in this stage of the draw since 1995 - when they were famously dumped out by York - but are there this season after failing to qualify for Europe last term.

Last season’s beaten finalists Sunderland will face the 2011 champions as they travel to Birmingham. Ties: August 26-27

n Cardiff progressed to the second round courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Coventry.

Goals from Guido Burgstaller and Ryan Haynes (OG) were enough after Shaun Miller’s consolation. It took four minutes for Cardiff to take the lead, when Nicky Maynard’s flick fell to Burgstaller who finished inside the area.

Cardiff got the second in the 81st minute when Haynes turned Mats Moller Daehli’s cross into his own net. The Sky Blues’ own substitutes provided them hope, when Miller finished Haynes’ cross from close range.
