THE incentive for Stocksbridge Park Steels and Armthorpe Welfare in tonight’s FA Cup replay is a home tie in the next round.
The pair meet in a first qualifying round replay at Bracken Moor tonight with yesterday’s draw for the second qualifying round giving the winners a home clash with Colwyn Bay who play in the Blue Square Bet North.
Cash incentive tonight is £3,000 for the winners with Armthorpe having already pocketed £2,250 for wins in the Extra Preliminary round and the Preliminary round - the latter a fine 2-0 win over Evo-Stik League side Brigg Town.
A 1-1 draw at Armthorpe on Saturday means tonight’s replay at Bracken Moor and offers Stocksbridge the chance to give themselves a lift after early season results have seen Gary Marrow’s side slip towards the lower end of the Premier Division table in the Evo-Stik League.
Elsewhere in the 2nd qualifying round draw, Frickley Athletic are at home to Blue Square North side Harrogate Town.
Staveley MW have a great incentive in tomorrow’s replay at home to Pickering Town. The winners will entertain Blue Square North high-fliers Hyde United.
