CHARLTON remain top of npower League One after two goals by Yann Kermorgant guided them to a 4-0 win over Carlisle.

The Addicks were 3-0 up at half-time after a header and volley by Kermorgant sandwiched a goal by Bradley Wright-Phillips, his eighth of the season.

Danny Hollands drilled home a 30-yard strike three minutes after half-time before Carlisle’s miserable afternoon was compounded when James Berrett’s penalty was saved by Ben Hamer.

Huddersfield are a point behind after Jordan Rhodes claimed his second successive hat-trick for the Terriers in a 3-1 win over Preston.

Rhodes slotted home in the fourth minute and doubled his, and Huddersfield’s, tally three minutes before the break with a close-range header. He completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute.
