Adam hat-trick helps Club stretch unbeaten run

There were goals galore last night as Sheffield FC extended their unbeaten league run with a 5-0 victory over Brigg Town at Dronfield.

Chris Adam broke down the left before cutting inside the area to give Club a 16th minute lead.

It was Adam who stretched their advantage on 67 minutes after a mix-up in the Brigg defence gifted the winger a simple chance. Steve Woolley made it 3-0 on 72 minutes with a superb lob over the goalkeeper from the left side of the box after playing a one two with Andy Gascoigne.

Adam completed his hat-trick in the fourth minute of time added on, bundling the ball home from close range and substitute Darren Norman claimed the fifth.

In the Premier Division, Worksop Town romped to a 6-2 victory at Chasetown,

Marc Thompson gave the Tigers the lead on the stroke of half-time with Matt Young doubling their advantage three minutes after the interval. The hosts pulled one back on 65 minutes but Martin McIntosh restored the two goal cushion eight minutes later after the hosts had been reduced to ten-men.

Chasetown made it 3-2 from the penalty spot on 74 minutes before Tomlinson, McIntosh and Jamie Jackson wrapped up a comfortable victory for the Tigers.

Stocksbridge Park Steels secured the S&H FA Association Cup after a resounding 3-0 win over Kirkburton in the final at Parkgate last night. Danny Joynes, Joe Wilson and Ryan McDonald netted.
