First lesson for Toseland

MotoGP-bound James Tose land is looking forward to learning from team-mate Colin Edwards when he begins life in motorcycling's premier class this winter.

Kiveton's Toseland - who is currently 66 points ahead of Nori Haga in the World Superbike standings with three rounds remaining - is set to partner Edwards in the Tech 3 Yamaha squad after seven years in superbikes and is planning to pick the brains of the vastly experienced Texan.

Toseland said: “We're looking forward to working together in the Tech 3 team.

“I was his team-mate 10 years ago in World Supersport with Castrol Honda so it's ironic that we've been put together again.

“His experience can only help me because I'm going to be a complete novice at MotoGP level with a lot to learn.”
