Mandeville remains contracted to Rovers until 2019 as previously agreed but with better personal terms after impressing during this campaign.

And winger Blair will also remain with the club until the summer of 2019 after penning a contract extension following an excellent first season for Rovers.

Striker Mandeville netted ten goals in 24 appearances in a brilliant first half of the season where he established himself in the starting XI after taking the opportunity presented by an injury to Andy Williams.

Injuries worries robbed the 20-year-old of much of the second half of the campaign, limiting him to a handful of sporadic substitute appearances.

Now fully fit, he is targeting more game time and more goals as Rovers step up to League One next season.

“My aims are to keep hold of a starting place in the team, and score a few goals to get us up the league," he told the official Rovers website.

"Every team starts with the belief they can do well.

“Rovers are probably more than a League One club, and could quite easily be a Championship side.”

And Mandeville praised the impact boss Darren Ferguson has had on his career.

He said: “He has been excellent with me and all the young lads.

"As a team we have improved massively this season, and hopefully we can continue that.

“I go into training every day and feel like I am a valuable member of the squad and improving every day because of it - it is a confidence game, and confidence is high.”
