Sheffield’s Nick Robinson-Baker said it is “business as usual” despite rumours linking his 3m synchro partner with another diver.
Robinson-Baker and Chris Mears finished a disappointing eighth at the World Championships in Barcelona prompting reports that Mears was about to team up with fellow 3m individual diver, Leeds-based Jack Laugher.
However, Robinson-Baker, aged 27, said he’s still Mears regular partner.
He said: “As far as I know it’s business as usual. I’ve heard the rumours that Jack and Chris will try out together but nothing else. I need to have a couple of operations (nose and wrist) now it’s the end of the season and then we’ll see how things lie in the new year.
“I had a bad last dive in Barcelona, but these things happen. It’s sport.”
