Lancashire gave their chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the Friends Life t20 a major boost when they annihilated their Roses rivals Yorkshire by eight wickets in their North Division clash.

Needing 125 to go top of their division, Lancashire reached their target in a mere 11 overs for the loss of just two wickets at Old Trafford

Batting first after winning the toss, the Yorkshire batsmen never dominated. Adam Lyth top-scored with 32 off 24 balls.
