Tykes rained off as T20 charge falters

Have your say

Yorkshire were washed out of their Friends Life t20 match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston last night.

Rain halted the match after only 18 overs. The home team had registered a modest 138-5 in the only 18 overs of play possible.

It’s the Tykes second no result of the competition and leaves them struggling to make the knock-out stages.

The match appeared evenly poised when umpires Jeff Evans and Steve O’Shaughnessy, who had kept the players on in steady rain, finally had to admit defeat. The match was abandoned 90 minutes later.
