TIM Bresnan has now turned his attention to the one-day series after being ruled out of England’s three-Test series against Pakistan which starts in Dubai next Tuesday.

“I knew it would be touch-and-go and I’m disappointed but I’ll aim now to be ready for the one-day series next month,” said Bresnan.

England enjoyed a three wicket win in the tour opener against the ICC Combined XI who, resuming on 90-5, finished on 164-9 dec to set England 261 to win. Andrew Strauss made 78, Steve Davies 37no, Ian Bell 37, Jonathan Trott 35 and Stuart Broad 31.
