THE South Yorkshire League have decided to delay announcing the outcome of last night’s disciplinary hearing in the Twitter abuse affair involving individuals connected to one of their clubs.

A total of nine players and members from Rossington Cricket Club were due to appear last night arising out of use of the social networking site with the League alleging Twitter attacks on league officials were “of a very serious and personal nature”.

A League official said all nine we not able to attend last night and so the league would formally communicate the decisions to the missing individuals first before releasing any details.

Rossington, who are appealing against their expulsion from the league, have their hearing next Monday.
