Preston takes five as Parklands skittle Brodsworth for 39

Eden Grove suffered their first Solly Sports South Yorkshire Alliance Division One defeat of the season at home to Forgemasters.

Put into bat, Grove made 169-7 with Anthony Cator (68) and Keith Laler (47) putting on 94 for the fifth wicket.

The Sheffield club, for whom Lee Barraclough had earlier taken 3-31, were 170-6 in reply (Paul Gregory 48).

Adwick-on-Dearne (107) beat visiting Kilnhurst (80) by 27 runs.

Wentworth, who won the toss and opted to bat, were bowled out by visiting Wickersley Old Village for 86. Daniel Laister (31no) top-scored with Jack Eggleston (5-15)and Kevin Roe (4-28) doing the damage with the ball.

Jack Eggleston (36no) and Steve Tattershall (25) saw Wickersley home with eight wickets to spare.

Whiston Meths were bundled out for just 52 by Brookhouse, for whom Chris Hemmings (5-14) and Adam Bryant (5-10) shone with the ball.

Brookhouse were skittled for just 29 in reply in this Division Two match - Cory Goodwin bagging 5-8 and Shaun Haywood taking 3-20.

Brodsworth Main crashed to a ten-wicket Division Three defeat at home to Doncaster rivals Parklands.

Batting first after winning the toss, Main were skittled for just 39 - Umai Raja (4-25) and Ashley Preston (5-12) claiming nine of the wickets.

Cory Deere (24no) led the way in Parklands’ reply of 40-0.

Whitley Hall won the toss and decided to bowl at Forgemasters, who made 111 all out - Liam Emmott (41) and Scott Foulds (26) providing half of their runs between them. Joe Chatterton grabbed 3-28 and Jacob Nalty (3-21). Whitley Hall made a match-winning reply of 113-4 with (Aaron Whitehead 29, Joshua Dobson 27).
