Dobson hits 53 in Doncaster away win

DONCASTER Town picked up a five-point win away at Wath in their Barnsley & District Cricket League Division One clash.

James Dobson (53) and Matthew Green (43 not out) laid the foundations for Town’s winning reply of 147-3. Jonathon Redfearn had earlier taken 4-29 in Wath’s knock of 145-8.

Barnby Dun 156-9 (Mark Wilkinson 57 no, Danny Peacock 33 not out), failed to overhaul South Kirkby’s 182 all out. Liam Rollin 5-48) in their Division Two clash.

Sprotbrough (Adam Kaye 38, Phil Wood 32) were bowled out or 155 replying to Kilnhurst’s 309-6 (Braithwaite 3-64).

Mexborough coasted to a 254-run Division Three win over visiting Thurgoland. Batting first, Mexborough made 273-5 with Lachlan McKenna 106, Steven Honeyman 78 not out leading the way. They then routed the visitors for just 19 - Nicky Beech taking 3-4, McKenna 2-0 and Jason Mason 2-2.
