If so, the City 20:20 Cricket Premier Competition is for you - and trials are taking place tomorrow [Thursday, June 4] at Sheffield Collegiate’s Abbeydale headquarters.

The knockout format is simple; four teams, one final, a £1,000 prize for the winners.

Sheffield, Brighton, London and Southampton will take part, with kit and orange cricket balls provided by the league.

Sheffield’s game against London is on Sunday, August 9, at Ashford CC in Middlesex.

Sheffield’s side, sponsored by Dennis Hobson Promotions, are looking for players of Premier Division to Division Two standard, and must be capable of clearing 70-metre boundaries or bowling at 70mph.

Trial night begins at 6pm.
