Cricket: Bowler leaves Yorkshire

SEAM bowler Oliver Hannon-Dolby is leaving Yorkshire and joining Warwickshire at the beginning of next month.

The tall 23-year-old, who has been playing his club cricket for Barnsley in the Yorkshire League, made 24 first class appearances for the county taking 43 wickets.

“As opportunities for Oliver to play first XI cricket at Yorkshire this season are likely to be limited, and given the fact that he is entering the final year of his contract, it was agreed we would allow him to explore potential options elsewhere,” said Yorkshire’s Director of Cricket Martyn Moxon.

“He has spent time training at Warwickshire and although I have some sadness that Oliver is leaving us, I am delighted he’s got this opportunity. He has been a pleasure to work with and I thank him for his contribution.”
