ADWICK-le-Street romped to a nine-wicket win over Doncaster rivals Parklands in their Solly Sports South Yorkshire Cricket Alliance Premier Division clash.
Only Patrick Strawbridge (43) made much impact in Parklands’ knock of 115 all out as Chris Jeeves (4-24) and Carl Newbold (3-24) struck for the visitors. Colin Bishop (45) and Luke Bishop (40 not out) steered Adwick to 116-1. Jonathan Green (62), David Plummer (48 not out), Callum Deardon (33) and Mark Traquair (30) provided the bulk of Kilnhurst’s 213-5 - Saman Khursheed taking 3-34.
Caribbean (Sammy Anwar 47, Mohammed Akram 40 and Waheed Bhatti 36) were all out for 184 in reply. David Plummer (3-34).
Sheffield United (Aeiper Leiper 31) were restricted to 85-9 by a 6-15 haul by Sam Whitlam at home to Wath, who then defied a 3-10 haul Bilal Anjam to make 89-6.
Harley 143 (Neil Ainsworth 44, Chris Ferris 23) suffered a five-wicket defeat at home to Shiregreen. Marshall Zeeshan, who had earlier taken 3-30, hit an unbeaten 80 in Shiregreen’s reply of 146-5.
An unbeaten 82 by Josh Care steered Darfield (136-2) to an emphatic eight-wicket win over Whiston Meths .135 (Steve Cowles 55, Mick Roper 32).
Wentworth 126-5 (Tim Whitley 41, Chris Stead 40no) beat Division One hosts Caribbean 123 (Derrick Carwin 51, John Ryan 24) by five wickets.
