BRODSWORTH 153-5 (Alec Elliott 76, Adam Cutmore 29, Andrew Warren 27 not out) - Michael Threapleton 3-33) beat Sprotbrough 152 all out (Adam Kaye 74, Michael Threapleton 32) by five wickets in Barnsley and District League Division Two.

Simon Oldham 5-81 and Alec Elliott 3-18) did the damage with the ball.

Tickhill retained top spot in Division Three despite a losing draw at lowly Stainborough. The home side made 344-4 with Josh Abson hitting an unbeaten 132, Anthony Clarke 64 not out and Sam Dyson 59.

Tickhill, who had won their previous five games, were 235-7 in reply (Mark Wilkinson 54, James Hodge 42, James Henderson 34).

Second-placed Warmsworth collected a winning draw at home to Harley. Mark Shanks 36 and Tom Hyde 30 not out, were the pick of the Common Lane club’s batting in their 190-6. Mark Chichester (4-13) helped restrict Heeley to 124-9.
